The DVD
The DVD is approximately 20 minutes long, including the one-time introduction. The exercise portion is 15 minutes, and features Sarah Hartshorne, one of Dr. Marr's longtime patients.

The DVD is safe for people of all fitness levels to use: athletes use it to enhance their performance and fitness novices use it as a way to get moving and improve their strength. As with any exercise program, use caution and if any of the sequences cause pain, skip them and wait for the next one. The exercise is sequential, like a dancer's warmup and will soon target another part of the body.

Much of The SOAR Method is done on a Swiss Exercise ball, which is also available for sale below. If you don't already have one, we recommend purchasing one along with the DVD. If you do already have a ball, make sure it's the right size for you. To check the size, sit down on the ball and ensure that your thighs are parallel to the ground. If your knees are higher than your hips, deflate your ball or purchase a smaller one. If they're below your hips, you need a bigger ball. An ill-fitting ball will compromise the exercises and affect your results.
